3. Additional Description The works will include the refurbishment internally and externally of the existing light structure, supply and construction of new aluminum walkway, installation of new optic including minor electrical works. The site for the proposed works lie within a Highly Sensitive Environmental site within two candidate Special Areas of Conservation (cSAC's). Kinloch and Kyleakin Hills is a terrestrial site and Lochs Duich, Long and Alsh reefs is a marine site. The presence of theses designations, mean that the proposed works must be undertaken in accordance with the EC Directive on the Conservation of Natural Habitats.

5. Other information All applicants must complete and submit a Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ). This must be returned no later than 14:00 hours on Friday 5th August 2005. PQQ's will be evaluated and a list of tenderers will be created from this evaluation. It is anticipated between 5 and 8 tenders will be issued. The PQQ contains all of the details and can be requested from Colin Brolly, Procurement Officer, details as at 1. The PQQ contains more information on the scope of works involved.
